Hypothyroidism/ Underactive thyroid is a condition in which body produces low thyroid hormones than normal level. It may be caused due to many reasons like Hashimoto's disease, Defiencies, Hypothalamic failure and previous treatment for hyperthyroidism. It is common in women more than men in the age group of 40-50.

Warm, non unctous, light foods are recommended.

Foods with tastes like bitter, pungent and astringent are good.

Herbs - Kanchanara, brahmi, silajit and guggulu are good.
