Our Specialities

Pain Relief
We understand the debilitating effect that pain can have on your daily life. Persistent back pain, sciatica, arthritis, joint discomfort and muscular aches can make everyday activities more difficult and leave you looking for different ways to manage how you feel.
With a decade of experience helping over 8,000 people with different pain conditions, our approach combines traditional Ayurvedic therapies, massage and herbs. Rather than offering one treatment for everyone, you can explore therapies with different techniques and purposes.
Options include Kati Vasti, which uses warm medicated oil over the lower back, and hot herbal bolus therapy for muscle aches and pains. Marma massage is another traditional option, using specific pressure points described within Ayurveda.
If you are exploring pain relief therapy or chronic pain relief in West Bromwich, speak to us about your concerns and the Ayurvedic treatments available at the centre.

Women's Wellbeing
Gut health, hormonal changes and menstrual concerns can all affect how you feel from day to day. Our women's wellbeing service provides an opportunity to look at these concerns through the principles of Ayurveda and discuss an individual approach to your health.
Our in-house Ayurvedic doctor, Dr Varalakshmi Yanamandra, has experience in gut and hormonal issues. Her approach includes Nadi Pariksha, or Ayurvedic pulse assessment, alongside tongue diagnosis to help assess your health concerns from an Ayurvedic perspective.
A wellness consultation can look at your health, diet and lifestyle together rather than focusing solely on one concern. Where appropriate, suggestions may include Ayurvedic herbs alongside diet and lifestyle management.
If you would like to discuss your gut, hormonal or general wellbeing, contact our West Bromwich centre to arrange a consultation.

Rejuvenation
Take some time away from everyday demands with therapies designed around relaxation and rejuvenation. You do not need to be experiencing pain to explore Ayurveda; treatments can also provide an opportunity to slow down, unwind and make time for your wellbeing.
Our holistic therapies include Ayurvedic massage, Indian head massage, hot herbal treatments, Shirodhara and skin-focused therapies. Each uses a different traditional technique, allowing you to explore an option suited to the kind of experience you are looking for.
Whether you want a full-body treatment, a relaxing head therapy or a personalised facial, visit our Ayurvedic spa in West Bromwich to discover the treatments available.
Chronic Pain Relief
Long-term discomfort can affect movement, sleep and everyday activities. Our pain-focused Ayurvedic therapies include options for people experiencing concerns such as chronic back pain, sciatica, arthritis, muscular aches and joint discomfort.
Treatments use different approaches, from massage and warm oils to herbal preparations and targeted therapies. If you are unsure which option to explore, speak to the team about the treatments available and what each involves.
Indian Head Massage
Indian head massage is a popular form of Ayurvedic massage in which warm oil is applied to the head and massage techniques are used around pressure points.
It offers a simple way to step away from everyday stress and experience one of the traditional massage therapies available at our wellness centre. If relaxation is your main reason for visiting, this may be one of the treatments you wish to explore.

Ayurvedic Medicine
Ayurveda has a long tradition of using natural and herbal preparations as part of a wider approach to health and wellbeing. At Ayur Wellness and Pain Centre, Ayurvedic medicine may form part of an individual approach based on your needs.
Our health and wellbeing consultation considers your body and mind according to Ayurvedic principles. It can include pulse and tongue assessment, with suggestions around Ayurvedic herbs, diet and lifestyle management.
Back Pain Therapy
Kati Vasti is a traditional Ayurvedic treatment used for the lower back. Warm medicated oil is retained over the area for a period of time inside a boundary traditionally made using black gram flour.
The treatment is offered for concerns including lower back pain and sciatica. It provides a more targeted option for visitors interested in Ayurvedic pain relief therapy rather than a general full-body massage.
If back pain is affecting your daily routine, you can find out more about Kati Vasti and the other pain-focused therapies available in West Bromwich.

Hot Relaxation Therapy
Hot herbal bolus therapy uses warmed herbal preparations together with oil and massage. Known within the wider treatment range as Pinda Sweda or Podikhizi, the therapy is used for muscular aches and pains as well as relaxation and rejuvenation.
The warmed herbal bolus is applied during the treatment using traditional techniques. For people looking beyond a conventional massage, it provides another way to experience the methods used within Ayurveda.
Beauty Facials
Your skin can have different needs depending on whether it tends to feel dry, sensitive, warm, oily or prone to puffiness. Our Ayurvedic facial treatments take an individual approach, with therapies based around the Vata, Pitta and Kapha skin types described in Ayurveda.
Natural and organic ingredients are used across the facial treatments, with ingredients including saffron oil, honey, cucumber, neem, rose, sandalwood and turmeric depending on the facial selected. Treatments combine cleansing and exfoliation with massage, steam and a face mask or pack.
A Kansa Wand Facial is also available, using a massage tool made from bronze. If you are looking for a holistic facial in the West Midlands, ask about the different skincare treatments available at our West Bromwich centre.

Marma Massage and Pressure-Point Therapy
Marma massage is an ancient Ayurvedic practice focused on specific areas known as Marma points. Within Ayurveda, these are traditionally regarded as vital points where different structures of the body meet.
The massage uses these points as the focus of the treatment. It is offered for relaxation, tension and stress, with the original therapy also used as part of the centre's approach to back pain.
Marma massage requires knowledge of where these points are located and how the technique is performed. If you would like to experience this traditional therapy, a dedicated Marma treatment is available at the centre.
Wellness Consultation
If you want to understand your health and wellbeing from an Ayurvedic perspective before choosing a therapy, you can arrange a wellness consultation.
The consultation provides a more detailed assessment of your body and mind according to Ayurvedic principles and includes pulse and tongue diagnosis. Your health concerns can then be considered alongside your diet and lifestyle, with suggestions around Ayurvedic herbs and lifestyle management where appropriate.
A full health and wellbeing consultation lasts approximately one to one and a half hours, giving you time to discuss your concerns rather than rushing through them.

Our Story
Holistic Healing Professionals
Ayur Wellness and Pain Centre began a decade ago with a vision to bring the time-honoured healing traditions of India to the local community. Since then, our focus has remained on helping people explore Ayurveda through pain management, massage, rejuvenation and wider holistic wellbeing.
That experience now covers a broad range of therapies, from Abhyanga full-body massage and Kati Vasti to Pinda Sweda, Marma massage, Ayurvedic facials and individual consultations. Each therapy has its own technique and purpose, giving you the opportunity to explore an approach relevant to what you are looking for.
Our West Bromwich location provides a local centre for people looking for Ayurvedic and holistic therapies across the West Midlands, including those travelling from Dudley and Wolverhampton. Rather than relying on labels such as 'expert' or 'specialist' alone, we believe it is more useful for you to understand the experience, techniques and treatment options available before deciding whether they are right for you.
If you are looking for a trusted place to explore traditional Ayurveda, our team can explain the available treatments and help you understand your options before you book.
What our clients say
Just wow. I'm suffering with shoulder and joint pains and believe me, over 4 years I've been to plenty of specialists. They are the real deal. So much care and attention... thank you so much and see you soon

I have Terminal Cancer and I have had problems with Insomnia. I had great experience of Ayurveda in India many moons ago. I was reluctant in the UK as many seemed to charge large amounts. Dr Lakshimi came recommended from a friend in Hinckley. She helped me straight away and I decided to incorporate regular check ups with her, as part of my Cancer Therapy Program. She is very experienced and excellent value for money . I am now convincing my Daughter to see her for her menstrual pains. I hope more Therapists join her clinic as we need more of these little Oasis sites ..... Best wishes for her and the staff
