Your skin protects you every day, so what you use on it matters. At Ayur Wellness and Pain Centre, our approach combines traditional Ayurveda with natural and organic ingredients to provide personalised facial treatments based on different skin characteristics and concerns.

Ayurvedic Facials in West Bromwich

Rather than taking the same approach to every complexion, our Ayurvedic facial treatments are based around the Vata, Pitta and Kapha skin types described within Ayurveda. This allows ingredients and techniques to be selected according to whether your skin tends to be dry and sensitive, warm and prone to redness, or oily and prone to puffiness.

If you are looking for a holistic facial or organic facial in West Bromwich, explore our treatments below. Our centre also welcomes clients from across the West Midlands, including Dudley and Wolverhampton.

Ayurvedic Facials

According to Ayurveda, skin can be understood through three different types based on your individual mind-body qualities: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Each has different characteristics, which is why our facials use different oils, herbs and natural ingredients rather than following one standard routine.

Whether you want nourishing care for dry skin, a gentler approach to warm and sensitive skin or a detox facial for an oilier complexion, you can choose a treatment designed around your skin type.

Revive Vata Facial

Refresh Pitta Facial

Detox Kapha Facial

Vata skin is typically dry and may be more prone to fine lines, wrinkles and sensitivity to some creams or chemicals. The Revive Vata facial therefore focuses on nourishment, moisture and gentle skincare.

Warming facial oils such as Kumkumadi Thailam, made with saffron, are used to nourish and moisturise the skin. Honey and cucumber are incorporated into the cleansing and exfoliation stage, followed by gentle facial steam and a pink clay face mask.

For anyone looking for an Ayurvedic anti-aging facial, the Vata treatment provides a traditional approach focused on dry skin and visible signs of ageing without turning the experience into an aggressive skincare routine.

Pitta skin is described in Ayurveda as soft and warm, often with a reddish-pink appearance. It may be sensitive to heat and prone to redness, spots or bumps, so the Refresh Pitta Facial uses ingredients selected with these characteristics in mind.

The treatment begins with cucumber cleanser and a neem scrub to cleanse and exfoliate the skin. This is followed by a gentle facial massage using rose essential oil, gentle steam and a face pack made with rose or sandalwood paste.

If your skin fits the Pitta characteristics and you would prefer a holistic facial based around cooling and soothing ingredients, this treatment offers a gentler Ayurvedic approach.

Kapha skin is typically described as soft and oily and may be more prone to larger spots, excess oil and noticeable puffiness. The Detox Kapha Facial is therefore centred around cleansing, exfoliation and rejuvenating skincare.

Your treatment starts with a thorough cleanse and scrub using neem and honey. This is followed by facial massage with Triphala and pink salt, before finishing with facial steam and a face pack containing turmeric and tea tree oil paste.

For clients looking specifically for a detox facial in West Bromwich, this treatment combines traditional Ayurvedic ingredients with a routine developed around the characteristics associated with Kapha skin.

Which Ayurvedic Facial Is Right for Your Skin?

The differences between Vata, Pitta and Kapha facials are not simply different names for the same treatment. Each facial uses a different combination of ingredients according to the skin characteristics described within Ayurveda.

  • Vata Facial: Designed around skin that tends to be dry, sensitive or more prone to fine lines and wrinkles, using nourishing oils and gentle ingredients.

  • Pitta Facial: Created for skin that tends to feel warm, appear reddish or react to heat, with cucumber, neem, rose and sandalwood used during the treatment.

  • Kapha Facial: Focused on skin that tends to be oily or puffy and prone to spots, using ingredients including neem, honey, Triphala, pink salt, turmeric and tea tree oil.

If you are unsure which facial best reflects your skin, talk to us before booking. We can explain how each treatment differs so you can choose from the options available.

Natural and Organic Facial Treatments

Natural and organic ingredients are an important part of our approach to Ayurvedic skincare. Rather than using exactly the same products for every treatment, ingredients vary according to the facial selected.

Across the Vata, Pitta and Kapha treatments, these include saffron-based facial oil, honey, cucumber, neem, rose essential oil, sandalwood, Triphala, pink salt, turmeric, tea tree oil and pink clay. Cleansing, exfoliation, massage, steam and a finishing face pack or mask are then combined according to the chosen treatment.

This gives you an organic facial experience rooted in the principles and ingredients used within Ayurveda, while keeping the treatment focused on your particular skin characteristics.

kansa wand massage to soothe lines, wrinkles
Kansa Wand Facial - £60

Get 4 sessions for £200

The Kansa Wand Facial combines facial massage with a traditional Kansa wand made from bronze, an alloy of copper and tin. It provides a different option from our Vata, Pitta and Kapha treatments for clients interested in massage-focused Ayurvedic skincare.

The Kansa wand is moved across the face during massage. The treatment is offered to support circulation, help reduce the appearance of puffiness and provide a toning facial massage, with regular use traditionally associated with caring for lines and wrinkles.

If you are considering an anti-aging facial but prefer a treatment centred around massage rather than a conventional beauty treatment, the Kansa Wand Facial offers another option within our Ayurvedic skincare range.

Holistic Facial Treatments Rooted in Ayurveda

Our facial treatments are part of a wider approach to wellbeing at Ayur Wellness and Pain Centre. Ayurveda considers individual characteristics rather than assuming that the same approach is suitable for everyone, and that principle shapes the Vata, Pitta and Kapha treatments available at the centre.

You can choose between facials focused on nourishment, cooling and soothing skincare, cleansing and detox-focused care, or facial massage with a Kansa wand. Each treatment has its own combination of ingredients and techniques, allowing you to understand what is involved before you book.

With a decade of experience in Ayurvedic therapies, our team can talk you through the available treatments rather than relying on generic labels such as expert or specialist alone. If you are looking for a trusted Ayurvedic facial service, you can ask questions about the treatment and ingredients before deciding which option suits what you are looking for.
